Personal Training

Working with me as your personal trainer is one of the most effective ways to achieve your health and fitness goals.

Corrective Training
This is a 6 phase plan that will inclued all the primary movement patterns.The phases will start at position sense exercises and move onto weak link activation and kinetic chain intergration, this is the positional stabilisation phase, then onto the preformance stabilisation that will include, endurance, hypertrophy, maximal strength and the power phase.

Nutritional Advice

Nutrition is not just about eating, it is about nourishing every cell in your body enabling you to function fully. On your consultation we will discuss your daily routine and how you fit eating into that. From the questionnaire I can determine the problem areas that you currently have and help you identify and eliminate the foods which are not beneficial to you.
Nutritional problems manifest themselves in many ways, if you can answer yes to any you may need to review you diet.

Health Assessment

This is at most a two hour session. In this time I go through a full range of static tests which give the underlying knowledge I need to create a programme for you. Then we progress on to more functional tests, such as range of motion and postural analysis etc. From these results we can set effective goals and make a training programme that will fit around your lifestyle and help you to progress at the rate that you are happy with.

On our first training session you may under go further fitness tests depending on your needs. This will enable me to build a detailed plan of action.
Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is about improvement or restoration of your health.
As this is a very diverse subject it is very difficult to say what I can do for you as I would need to assess you fully and advise on an individual basis. On past clients it has been for the following requirements.
Injuries which I have helped reduce pain and regain strength and a full range of motion advising them on how to stop the same injury occurring again.
Others have been regaining strength to be able to complete daily living activities or improving on limited movement patterns which they have.
Currently I am training disabled clients with MS, brain damage, and cerebral palsey, helping them with everyday tasks such as moving their limbs and helping them regain the ability to stand and walk.
I personally was injured in an accident that ended my career with HM Forces, and at the time needed similar rehabilitation that I now provide to my clients.
If you’ve recently had an accident or are permanently injured, I have a fully equipped studio, and am also able to make home visits.

Through initial diagnosis the treatment and rehabilitation is decided and because the body is a kinetic chain, by working on the muscles around the strain or injury full performance can be restored.
If an injury has not been fully rehabilitated it is far more likely to reoccur and because healing has taken place there is more chance that the affected area will not function as it once did. That is why I look at providing you with a programme of exercises in my one to one sessions to get you functioning in the fastest time possible.
As I look for imbalances as well as muscle weakness and not just at the injury all areas will be addressed.
